What is this?
ATMoB Business Meeting and Presentation.
Entry to the Philips Auditorium is through the back of the auditorium. From the front doors at the parking lot, head to the right side of the auditorium between the two buildings. Follow the left wall around the corner to reach a door up a small set of stairs.
Our guest speaker will be Qijia Zhou, a senior undergraduate student at Harvard College concentrating in Physics and Astrophysics. She has been collaborating with Dr. Mario Motta as part of the NASA/ASP Eclipse Ambassador Program, where they aim to bring eclipse education to the Boston area. She will be talking about the upcoming solar eclipses in October (two days after the meeting!) and April, including eclipse science, observing safety, viewing locations nearby, and Harvard's eclipse outreach events.
Qijia will be joined by Kane Sjoberg, a junior at Harvard studying Astrophysics & Physics. Kane is the president of Student-Astronomers at Harvard-Radcliffe (STAHR), where he helps run open houses at STAHR’s Loomis-Michael Observatory, and enjoys teaching telescope & astrophotography classes to students.
