The Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston, Inc. (ATMoB) is an amateur astronomy club devoted to telescope making, observing, and studying the heavens. The ATMoB was founded in 1934 with the cooperation of Dr. Harlow Shapley at Harvard College Observatory. In 1973, the Bond Astronomical Society, another long-standing club, merged with the ATMoB making the club one of the oldest and largest general interest astronomy clubs in the country.
The Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston, Inc. is an IRS designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are gladly accepted and are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

ATMoB Meetings are currently held on Zoom. Links are available in the Announce Forum and the Newsletter. Access to the ATMoB Clubhouse is still limited by Covid-19 guidelines, but the observing field is open for use. The current guidelines are presented at the beginning of each ATMoB monthly business meeting.
