RE: (ATMoB:Discuss) coordinates

Joe,

Try these links.

http://www.geocode dot com/eagle.html-ssi

http://www.mapblast dot com/myblast/index.mb

Note: for mapblast, put in your street address and zip code and click
"create map". The map will appear in the right frame with the lat and long
in the upper right of the map.

Regards,

Bob Smith

Subject: (ATMoB:Discuss) coordinates

Not too long ago someone posted a website that would provide accurate
latitude and longitude for any address. Now that Heavens-above lets you
recall the locations of observing sites I've set up a site for the club
house using the coordinates from the ATMOB website.

I'd like to find the coordinates for my home. Both Mapquest and TerraServer
are capable of showing aerial photos of my home (not to mention Haystack
observatory) and obviously have the coordinates but they're not exposed to
the poor ignorant user.

If someone has a link to the site that can provide accurate coordinates for
addresses in the US I'd really appreciate it. There's a magnitude -7 iridium
flare predicted for the club house location at 11:28 Friday night. The
center of the flare is even closer to my house in Westford. These bright
flares are really worth stepping outside for a look.
