At about 9:30 p.m. EDT tonight, as I looked up in Marblehead, MA, a satellite caught my eye near the zenith (to the south of Hercules' keystone), travelling SW-NE. A moment later, it flashed to the brightness of Venus and then vanished and didn't reappear further down in the sky. I haven't seen that before. What happened?
